Do I have to change my phone number?

You get a new local number for your business line, and it rings your cell. Your cell number stays the same. An easy way to start is to put it on your Google Business Profile first, then switch the rest once you trust it.

What does the caller hear?

A short greeting, then your phone rings for about 13 seconds. If you don't answer, they hear a brief message saying you'll text them right back, and the text arrives a few seconds later. You can change the wording.

What if I answer?

Then it's a normal call. TxtBack only texts when a call is missed.

Will customers know it's automated?

The text comes from your business number and is written in your voice, so it reads naturally. The first message includes the standard 'Reply STOP to opt out' line that carriers require. You decide what it says.

What happens after the 7 days?

Nothing is charged, because there's no card on file. To keep it, pick a plan in your dashboard. If you don't, texting stops. Calls to your TxtBack number still ring your cell for 72 hours, then the number is turned off.

How long does setup take?
